Tuina is often confused as a form of Chinese massage and in many instances is portrayed as such.

However, it is a traditional Chinese medical manipulative therapy which is used to re-educate the body to correct patterns by releasing tension and restoring balance.

Historically tuina was practised on the elderly or young infants but as time has progressed tuina is now used on everybody due to its amazing effect.

It works by allowing the body to unwind itself. The practitioner will use a range of motion, traction, massage and stimulation of particular acupressure points to treat both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions as well as non-musculoskeletal conditions.

Tuina is popular in the martial arts field as this style of treatment if beneficial to people that are in training and taking on continual training injuries.
